Interactive audio-visual album and performance with an abstract philosophical narrative around dialectical breakdown of the process of reinterpretation.
The idea in form evolved from thinking about scale [macro/micro], dimensions [2D/3D], time [visual aesthetic that feels from past and the future at the same time] and movement [open world interaction, fluidity and perspective effects]. These visuals were performed live as well as used in developing the trailer for my upcoming album, Reinterpretations. It is a concept album with an abstract philosophical narrative around dialectical breakdown of the process of reinterpretation.

I coded some glsl shaders followingThe Book of Shaders. Here is the link to myGithub repo. Using theDeep Space Planets and other built-in assets, I started creating abstract spaces in Unity3D. Then I converted the glsl shaders into Interactive Shader Format using theISF editor app. I followed thistutorial for using VDMX to send shaders as Syphon textures into Unity3D. I made the music in Ableton Live and used Syphon to render clips out from Unity3D. Then I created a performance setup to perform music and visuals at the same time through Ableton Live, VDMX and Unity3D using my Akai APC20. The trailer is an outcome of this performance.
